We also offer consultancy and administration services for Payroll and Point Of Sale systems. We offer individual or group training in QuickBooks as well as job coaching.
COMPANY & OWNER
The owner, Barry Heaton, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization. A classically trained accountant by way of 5 years Chartered Accountantancy articles in England, he is a CRA designated e-filer, an Intuit Canada QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of the Sage Software Accountants Network. His 40+ years of Canadian experience includes some of this country’s largest organizations including: CIBC, Litton Systems, Pilkington Glass, Warner-Lambert and VISA. In the entrepreneurial field, he brings to the table, both personally and as a consultant, experience with the startup and operation of over 40 small businesses.
Barry has always been involved in community-based initiatives, being one of the original volunteers for the highly successful Kids Help Line as well as volunteer work with St Joseph’s Hospital, National Soccer League (Junior Division), Wexford Soccer Club, St. Andrew Soccer Club, TeleCare as well as paid positions with Ontario Coalition of Alternative Businesses and Friends & Advocates Centre. In keeping with this involvement, BCH Tax Preparation presently offers discounts to seniors and low income individuals and commencing in 2008, will also be a part of the CRA Volunteer Tax Return Preparation Service.
A dynamic, knowledgeable presenter/instructor who believes in the principle of lifelong learning and delights in bringing attention to a person’s outstanding abilities all too often hidden behind their visible challenges. Barry uses humour and positive thought to illustrate many of the principles he uses in life whilst operating with a “solution based” mindset. Barry works well with all ages and has a special affinity with young entrepreneurs. He presently acts as a volunteer resource for the City of Kawartha Lakes Self-Employment program which is operated in conjunction with the Government of Ontario.
